Sara Gowin, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Founder of Peace of Mind Mental Health Group, PLLC

Sara Gowin, MSN, CRNP, PMHNP-BC (she/her) is the Founder of Peace of Mind Mental Health Group, PLLC and a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Pennsylvania, with Maryland licensure coming soon.

Sara specializes in trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming psychiatric care for adolescents and adults. Her clinical experience spans inpatient, outpatient, crisis, and interventional psychiatry, providing expertise in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including treatment-resistant and complex presentations. She has also been a longtime advocate for victim-survivors of sexual assault in Lancaster County, with a career rooted in compassion, empowerment, and advocacy.

Sara founded Peace of Mind Mental Health Group to create a practice where every individual feels seen, respected, and supported. She believes mental health care should be collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each person's unique experiences and goals. By integrating thoughtful medication management with psychotherapy and other emerging treatment approaches when appropriate, she is committed to helping clients achieve lasting wellness.

Sarah Morales, CCMA, CPS
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant | Certified Peer Specialist

Sarah Morales (she/her) serves as the Behavioral Health Medical Assistant at Peace of Mind Mental Health Group. In this role, she supports both the clinical and administrative functions of the practice, helping ensure that clients experience a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment from their first point of contact through ongoing care.

As a Certified Peer Specialist, Sarah uses her specialized training and lived experience to provide support, encouragement, and guidance to others. Her role focuses on creating connection, fostering hope, and helping individuals navigate their own path toward healing.

Sarah leads Unapologetically Us, a free monthly LGBTQIA+ support group. This group provides a safe, affirming, and judgment-free space for individuals to connect, share experiences, and build community.
Sarah is passionate about reducing stigma around mental health and helping people connect with resources that support healing, stability, and overall well-being.

Katie Espenshade, MSW, LSW
Outpatient Therapist

Meet the Therapist: Katie Espenshade (she/her) is a Licensed Social Worker at Peace of Mind Mental Health Group, PLLC who is dedicated to supporting the emotional well-being of young people and their support systems. With extensive experience working with children and adolescents, Katie specializes in helping individuals and families navigate periods of crisis, transition, and growth.
Katie understands that “family” looks different for everyone and prioritizes a tailored, individualized approach for each client. She is passionate about helping young people and families move through challenging seasons by building emotional insight, strengthening relationships, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Katie has completed EMDR Basic Training through an EMDRIA-approved program and is accepting new clients. This evidence-based approach helps individuals process distressing experiences, reduce the impact of trauma, and support healing in a safe, structured way.

Drake Naylor, MSW, LSW
Outpatient Therapist

Meet the Therapist: Drake Naylor (he/him) is a Licensed Social Worker at Peace of Mind Mental Health Group who provides affirming, evidence-based therapy for adolescents and adults. Drake is passionate about creating a safe, authentic, and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to show up fully as themselves while working toward meaningful and lasting change.

Drake has experience supporting individuals navigating substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health concerns, depression, bipolar disorders, emotional dysregulation, and life transitions. His clinical approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, validation, and practical coping strategies tailored to each client’s individual goals and needs. Drake is especially passionate about LGBTQIA+ affirming care and men’s mental health and values building genuine therapeutic relationships rooted in authenticity, trust, and compassion.
